William Bell

William was born in June 1663 in Abercorn and his baptism took place there on June 20th, 1663.¹   William's father was John Bell and his mother was Elspeth Ramsay.  His paternal grandparents were John Bell and Margrat Glen. He had six brothers and five sisters, named James, John, John, Thomas, Bartlay, Peter, Margaret, Jennet, Elspeth, Helen and Margaret.  He was the sixth oldest of the twelve children.
