John Bell

John was born in February 1657 in Abercorn and his baptism took place there on February 18th, 1657.¹   John's father was John Bell and his mother was Elspeth Ramsay.  His paternal grandparents were John Bell and Margrat Glen. He had six brothers and five sisters, named James, John, William, Thomas, Bartlay, Peter, Margaret, Jennet, Elspeth, Helen and Margaret.  He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.
