John Bell

John was born in 1655 in Abercorn and his baptism took place there on April 8th, 1655.¹   John's father was John Bell and his mother was Elspeth Ramsay.  His paternal grandparents were John Bell and Margrat Glen. He had six brothers and five sisters, named James, John, William, Thomas, Bartlay, Peter, Margaret, Jennet, Elspeth, Helen and Margaret.  He was the second oldest of the twelve children.  He died before 1657.
