George Tankersley

George was born in 1758 in Port Royal, Caroline Co. VA. George's father was Richard Tankersley and his mother was Mary Thornley. His paternal grandparents were George Tankersley and Mary Longley Long. He had four brothers and a sister, named John, Richard, Reuben, Peter and Mary Ann Polly. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 56 in October 1814.
