Abigail was born in October 1808.  Abigail's father was Capt Samuel Rankin and her mother was Jane McConahey.  Her paternal grandparents were William Rankin and Abagail Tassie (Native American???). She had seven brothers and two sisters, named John, Samuel, Stephen, William, David, Matthew, James, Matilda and Jane.  She died at the age of 84 on November 17th, 1892.
