Robert Marshall was born on April 5th, 1790.  Robert Marshall's father was Alexander McCracken and his mother was Margaret possibly Marshall.  His maternal grandparents were Capt Henry Marshall and Mattie possibly Chambers. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named Henry, William, James, Alexander, Henry, John Murry, Arthur, Mary Polly, Sarah, Lillie, Martha, Margaret and Jane.  He was the fifth oldest of the fourteen children.  He died at the age of 94 in 1884.
