Henry was born on July 30th, 1793.  Henry's father was Alexander McCracken and his mother was Margaret possibly Marshall.  His maternal grandparents were Capt Henry Marshall and Mattie possibly Chambers. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named Henry, William, Robert Marshall, James, Alexander, John Murry, Arthur, Mary Polly, Sarah, Lillie, Martha, Margaret and Jane.  He was the eighth oldest of the fourteen children.  He died at the age of 44 on April 21st, 1838.
