Margaret of was born about 1190 in Huntingdon, England. Margaret of's father was David Huntingdon and her mother was Maud De Meschines. Her paternal grandparents were Henry of Huntingdon and Ada De Warrenne; her maternal grandparents were Hugh Keveliok De Meschines and Bertred De Montfort of Evereaux. She had a brother and four sisters, named John le Scot, Isabella le Scot of, Majory of, Ada of and ?. She had two half-brothers and five half-sisters, named William, Hugh, Isabella, Nichola, Maud, Cecily and Colette. She died in 1228.General Notes

Margaret of Huntingdon was the eldest daughter of David of Scotland, 8th E
arl of Huntingdon by his wife, Maud of Chester.
She married, as his second wife, Lord Alan of Galloway at Dundee in 120
9. They were reprimanded for marrying within the forbidden limits of kinsh
ip and had to obtain a papal dispensation.
Margaret and Alan had two daughters: Christian, who married William de For
z, Count of Aumale, and died childless; and Devorguilla of Galloway, who m
arried John Balliol, 5th Baron de Balliol. Devorguilla was the mother of J
ohn Balliol, King of Scotland from 1292 to 1296.
Margaret was dead by 1228, when Alan remarried for a third time.
