David was born about 1144 in Huntingdon, Northumberland, England.  David's father was Henry of Huntingdon and his mother was Ada De Warrenne.  His paternal grandparents were David I Dunkeld and Maud of Huntingdon; his maternal grandparents were William II De Warrenne and Elizabeth Isabella De Vermandois. He had two brothers and three sisters, named IV, I, Margaret of, Margaret and Majory of.  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died on June 17th, 1219 in Jedburgh, Roxburghshire, Scotland.
