Eleanor was born before October 17th, 1305 in Quendon, Essex, England.  Eleanor's father was Humphrey De Bohun and her mother was Elizabeth Plantagenet.  Her paternal grandparents were Humphrey VIII De Bohun and Maud De Fiennes; her maternal grandparents were Edward I Plantagenet and Eleanor of Castile. She had three brothers and four sisters, named John, Edward, William, Agnes, Margaret, Aeneas and Isabel.  She was the oldest of the eight children.  She died on October 7th, 1363 in Ireland.

‌Eleanor and James were married in a religious ceremony on January 6th, 1327 in England.  They had a son and three daughters, named James, Anne, John and Petronella.
