Jasper Jay was born on September 9th, 1915 in Neshoba County,Mississippi. Jasper Jay's father was William Allen Daniel and his mother was Sarah Ritha Harrison. His paternal grandparents were William Simmons Daniel and Permintia Wesley Stewart; his maternal grandparents are John F. Harrison and Isabella C. Lewis. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Willie Perry, Ethel Whittle, Ollie Junice, Tommy Binford, Nellie Estell, Jessie Mae, Era Lucille and Mildred Ruth. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Allen Kelly, Ettie Bulah and Cora Lee. He died at the age of 6 on April 10th, 1922 in Neshoba County,Mississippi. He was buried in Sandtown Cemetery,Philadelphia,MS.General Notes
