Blanche was born in 1317 in Vincennes, Val de Marne,  France.  Blanche's father was Charles III Capet de Valois and her mother was Mahaut de Chatillon de St. Pol.  Her paternal grandparents were Philip III The Bold le Hardi Capet of France and Isabelle of Aragon; her maternal grandfather was Guido III de Chatillon de St. Pol. She had two sisters named Marie and Isabella. She had two half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Philip VI the Pious Capet de Valois of, Charles II le Magnanime, Joan, Jeanne, Marguerite, Isabella de Valois, Catherine and Jeanne.  She died at the age of 31 on August 1st, 1348 in Prague, Praha, Czechloslovakia.  She was buried in Prague Church, Praha, Czechloslovakia.

‌Blanche and Karel IV of were married in a religious ceremony in May 1329.
