Pierre II (Peter) was born in 1155 in Isle de France, France.  Pierre II (Peter)'s father was Pierre I (Peter) Capet de Courtnay of France and his mother was Isabelle (Elizabeth) de Courtenay.  His paternal grandparents were Louis VI the Fat Capet of France and Adelaide de Maurienne of Savoy; his maternal grandfather was Renaud de Courtenay and his maternal grandmother is Hawise (Joscelin) le Donjon. He had a brother and two sisters, named Robert I, Alice and Constance.  He was the oldest of the four children.

‌Pierre II (Peter) and Agnes were married in a religious ceremony in 1184.


Pierre II (Peter)'s second family with Yolande of Flanders

‌Pierre II (Peter) and Yolande of were married in a religious ceremony on July 1st, 1193.  They had two sons and three daughters, named Robert, Baldwin II, Yolande, Elizabeth and Eleanor.
