Thomas was born in Stoke Albany, Northamptonshire, England. Thomas' father was William IV de Ros and his mother was Margery de Badlesmere. His paternal grandparents were William III de Ros and Maud de Vaux; his maternal grandparents were Bartholomew V de Badlesmere and Margaret de Clare. He had a brother and three sisters, named William V, Elizabeth, Maud and Alice. He died on June 8th, 1384 in Uffington, Lincolnshire, England. He was buried in Rievaulx Abbey, Yorkshire, England.-
