William V d'Aubigny was born in Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire, England.  William V d'Aubigny's father was William IV le Breton d'Aubigny de Albini and his mother was Maud de St. Hilary du Harcourt.  His paternal grandparents were William III le Meschines d'Aubigny de Albini and Adeliza de Brabant of Louvaine; his maternal grandparents were James de St. Hillary du Harcourt and UNKNOWN Aveline. He had a sister named Agnes (Avice). He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James, Henry, John, Roger, Richard FitzRoger, Maud, Mabel and Aveline.  He died about March 30th, 1221 in Cainell near Rome, Latium, Italy.

‌William V d'Aubigny and Mabel de Kevelioc de Meschines of were married in a religious ceremony after 1207.  They had two sons and five daughters, named William, Hugh, Cicely, Colet, Isabella d'Aubigny, Nichola d'Aubigny and Matilda.
