Joan was born about 1356.  Joan's father was Thomas de Holland and her mother was Joan Plantagenet the Fair Maid of Kent.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert II de Holland and Maud la Zouche; her maternal grandparents were Edmund Plantagenet of Woodstock and Margaret le Wake of Liddell. She had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas II, John, Edmund and Matilda. She had two half-brothers named Edward Plantagenet of and Richard II Plantagenet of.  She died after December 25th, 1384.
