Jonathan Knappenberger 
Jonathan was born on February 11th, 1801 in Northampton (later Lehigh County), Pennsylvania. Jonathan's father was Johan Philip Knappenberger and his mother was Maria Barbara Stettler. His paternal grandparents were Johan Henrich Knappenberger and Anna Margaretha Desch; his maternal grandparents were Henry Stettler and Barbara Steininger. He had four brothers and six sisters, named John Philip, Henry, Jacob, Solomon, Lydia, Anna Maria, Judith K., Rebecca, Salome and Tevilla. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother named Johan Philip Jr.. He died at the age of 83 on June 22nd, 1884 in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.General Notes
