Jacob Knappenberger 
Jacob was born on October 6th, 1808 in Northampton (later Lehigh County), Pennsylvania. Jacob's father was Johan Philip Knappenberger and his mother was Maria Barbara Stettler. His paternal grandparents were Johan Henrich Knappenberger and Anna Margaretha Desch; his maternal grandparents were Henry Stettler and Barbara Steininger. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Jonathan, John Philip, Henry, Solomon, Lydia, Anna Maria, Judith K., Rebecca, Salome and Tevilla. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother named Johan Philip Jr.. He died at the age of 75 on August 15th, 1884 in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
