David Dunkeld of was born about 1144.  David Dunkeld of's father was Henry Dunkeld of Huntingdon and his mother was Adelaide (Ada) de Warenne.  His paternal grandparents were David I the Saint of Scotland and Matilda (Maud) of Huntingdon; his maternal grandparents were William II de Warenne and Isabella Capet de Crepi of Vermandois. He had three brothers and five sisters, named William I the Lion of, John, Malcolm IV the Maiden of, Ada of, Isabella of, Maud of, Marjory Canmore of and Margaret of.  He died on June 17th, 1219 in Yardley, Northants.  He was buried in 1219 in Sawtrey Abbey, Hunts..

‌David Dunkeld of and Mabel de Kevelioc de Meschines of were married in a religious ceremony on August 26th, 1190.  They had three sons and four daughters, named Robert Dunkeld of, John Scot of, Henry de Brechin of, Ada of, Margaret Dunkeld of, Maud of and Isobella Dunkeld le Scot of.
