William Crosiar 
William was born on October 19th, 1823 in Calhoun (now Pike) County,Illinois. William's father was Simon Crosiar and his mother was Sarah H. Owen. His paternal grandparents were John Simon Crosiar and Jane Hert; his maternal grandparents were Amasa Owen and Sarah Osborn. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Amasa Owen, Eli, Simon, Jacob, Asa, Mary Ann and Sarah Ann. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 23 on September 3rd, 1847.General Notes
