Simon Crosiar 
Simon was born on February 15th, 1822 in Calhoun (now Pike) County,Illinois. Simon's father was Simon Crosiar and his mother was Sarah H. Owen. His paternal grandparents were John Simon Crosiar and Jane Hert; his maternal grandparents were Amasa Owen and Sarah Osborn. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Amasa Owen, Eli, William, Jacob, Asa, Mary Ann and Sarah Ann. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at 11 months old on January 24th, 1823 in Illinois.-
