Louis IV "Transmarinus" was born in Laon, Champagne, France.  Louis IV "Transmarinus"'s father was Charles King Of France and his mother was Edith Princess Of England.  His paternal grandparents were Louis II King Of France and Adbelahide Queen Of France; his maternal grandfather was Edward King Of Wessex and his maternal grandmother is Aelfflaed Queen Of The English. He had three half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Roricon, Drogo, Amulf, Gisaele, Ermentrude, Frederune, Adbelahide, Gisele, Hildegarde, Rotrude and Alpais.  He died in Abbaye de St. Rhemy, France.  He was buried in St Remy Abbey, Reims, Marne, France.
