Charlemagne was born in Aix la Chapelle, Austrasia.  Charlemagne's father was Pepin King Of France and his mother was Bertrada Queen Of France.  His paternal grandparents were Charles Mayor Of The Palace Of Austrasia and Rotrud Duchess Of Alemania; his maternal grandparents are Claribert Count Of Laon and Blanche Flora Of Hungary. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Carloman, Pepin, Gisela, Rothaide, Abbelahide, Gertrude, Gisaele and Ade.  He died in Aix la Chapelle, Austrasia.
