Louis I "The Pious" was born in 0778 in Casseneuil, France.  Louis I "The Pious"'s father was Charlemagne Emperor Of The Holy Roman and his mother was Hildegard Princess Of Alemannien.  His paternal grandparents were Pepin King Of France and Bertrada Queen Of France; his maternal grandparents were Gerold Count Vinzgau and Duke Allemania and Imma Duchess Of Swabia. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Charles, Pepin, Lothaire, Adbelahide, Rotrude, Bertha, Gisaele and Hildegarde.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He had four half-brothers and seven half-sisters, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender, named Drogo, Hugues "L'Abbb", Thierry "the Monk", Pepin "the Hunch, Theodrade, Hiltrude, Rotrude, Adaltrude, Adbelinda, Gertrude, Alpaide and Rothais.  He died at the age of 62 in 0840 in near Ingelheim, Hesse.
