Louis was born about 0805 in Germany. Louis' father was Louis I "The Pious" Emperor of the Holy Roman and his mother was Ermengarde Princess of Hesbaye. His paternal grandparents were Charlemagne Emperor Of The Holy Roman and Hildegard Princess Of Alemannien; his maternal grandfather is Ingeramne Hesbaye. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Lothaire, Pepin I, Ludwig II "The German", Adbelahide, Hildegarde, Alpaide and Rotrude. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Charles II, Arnould and Gisela. He died in Frankfort, Brandenburg, Germany. He was buried in Lauresheim Abbey, Prussia.-
