Bertha was born about June 0779 in Aachen,Rheinland,Prussia.  Bertha's father was Charlemagne Emperor Of The Holy Roman and her mother was Hildegard Princess Of Alemannien.  Her paternal grandparents were Pepin King Of France and Bertrada Queen Of France; her maternal grandparents were Gerold Count Vinzgau and Duke Allemania and Imma Duchess Of Swabia. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Charles, Pepin, Louis I "The Pious", Lothaire, Adbelahide, Rotrude, Gisaele and Hildegarde.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She had four half-brothers and seven half-sisters, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender, named Drogo, Hugues "L'Abbb", Thierry "the Monk", Pepin "the Hunch, Theodrade, Hiltrude, Rotrude, Adaltrude, Adbelinda, Gertrude, Alpaide and Rothais.
