Winfield Scott Gatten

Winfield Scott was born on September 5th, 1872 in Washington, Monroe Co., Ohio. Winfield Scott's father was Joseph Thomas Gatten and his mother was Hannah Jane Highman. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Gatten and Mary Woodford. He had three brothers and a sister, named Hamilton, Oliver I., John and Tabitha Jane. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 71 on August 31st, 1944.
