Married abt 1767. Probably came to America about 1770-1772. According to family tradition, our immigrant ancestor came to Maryland from the Isle of Mann before the American Revolution and fought on the side of the colonies, from Frederick Co MD. That he came before the war is borne out by the fact he had at least two sons, Samuel and Joseph, born in Maryland in 1772 and 1775.
