Elizabeth (Betsey) was born on March 6th, 1794. Elizabeth (Betsey)'s father was William Benjamin Gatten and her mother was Sarah Murphy. Her paternal grandfather was Richard Gatten and her paternal grandmother is Mary; her maternal grandfather was Joseph Murphey. She had ten brothers and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Thomas, Charles, John, William Jr., Galentine, Isaac, Greenberry, Joseph, James, Jonathan, Rachel, Catherine (Katie), Jane, Sarah (Sallie) and UNKNOWN. She died at the age of 87 on June 17th, 1881 in Richland Co., Ohio.-
