Elizabeth Jane was born on July 3rd, 1820. Elizabeth Jane's father was Benjamin VanCleave and her mother was Sarah Kerns. Her paternal grandparents were John VanCleave and Mary Shepherd; her maternal grandparents were Peter Kerns and Anna Jordon. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Lewis, Peter, David, James Walter, John, Benjamin, Aaron, Martha, Anna and Sarah. She died at the age of 72 on November 27th, 1892. She was buried in Oak Hill Cemetary near Riley,Indiana.-
