Jan Jansen Van Meter 
Jan Jansen was born on October 14th, 1683 in bap Kingston,Ulster County,New York. Jan Jansen's father was Joost Jansen Van Meteren and his mother was Sara DuBois. His paternal grandparents were Jan Joosten VanMeteren and Maeyken Hendricksen; his maternal grandparents were Louis DuBois and Catharine Blanchan. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Hendrick Jansen, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Rebekka, Lysbeth, Rachel and Malinda. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 61 on August 13th, 1745 in Apequon,Winchester,Frederick Co.,VA.-
