William Gerritse Van Cowenhoven 
William Gerritse was born in July 1636. William Gerritse's father was Gerrit Wolfertse Van Couwenhoven and his mother was Altje Cornelisen Cool. His paternal grandparents were Wolfert Garretson Van Couwenhoven and Neeltje Janse; his maternal grandparents were Cornelius Lanbertse Cool and Altien Brackhonge. He had a sister named Negltje Gerritse. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 92 in 1728.-
