Simon Brute was born on December 28th, 1841 in Shelby,IN. Simon Brute's father was Leo Hardy Worland and his mother was Margaret Valentine Louden. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Worland and Verlinda Hardy; his maternal grandparents were David Louden and UNKNOWN Susan. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named John David, Thomas Louden, William Leo, Vincent Oliver, Celestine Hollandiere, Robert Purcel, James Gregory, Susannah, Verlinda and Margaret Ann. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 51 on May 7th, 1893 in Louisville,Jefferson,KY. He was buried in St. Louis Cemetery.-
