His paternal grandparents were Thomas Worland and Verlinda Hardy; his maternal grandparents were David Louden and UNKNOWN Susan. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named John David, Thomas Louden, William Leo, Vincent Oliver, Simon Brute, Celestine Hollandiere, Robert Purcel, Susannah, Verlinda and Margaret Ann.
