Thomas was born on June 11th, 1774 in ,Charles,MD. Thomas' father was John III Worland and his mother was Mary Brady. His paternal grandparents were John Jr. Worland and Stacy Robey. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Walter, Barnaby, Lucy and Rebecca. He was the oldest of the five children. He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named John Robey, Charles, Henry, William, James, Anastasia, Eleanor and Mary. He died at the age of 76 on July 13th, 1850 in Shelby,IN. He was buried in St. Vincent's Cemetery.
‌Thomas and Verlinda were married in a religious ceremony on December 8th, 1799 in Emmetsburg,MD. They had eight sons and five daughters, named John, Leo Hardy, Arnold E., Thomas Livers, Stephen Dominic, Robert A., Sebastian, William, Rachel, Mary Ann, Theresa, Eleanore and Eulilia Frances.
