DAVID BLACK, the eldest son of James and Abigail A. (Taylor) Black, was
born January 12, 1807.  James Black, the father, was born in Tennessee,
but came to Kentucky in an early day and settled in Woodford County,
where he engaged in farming and where he died.  David Black, a native
of Woodford County, Ky., was reared a farmer, and married March 6, 1834,
Miss M. A. Rennick, daughter of Alexander and Martha (Garrett) Rennick,
of Woodford County,  Elizabeth Ann, the only child born to this union,
died in infancy, and its mother died November 8, 1835, a member of the
Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, December 1, 1836.  Mr. Black
married Paulina Guyn, a daughter of Robert and Jane (Black) Guyn, and
to this union ten children were born, of whom five are living: Robert
William (who married Susan M. Oliver), Mary Ann, Eliza Jane, David C.,
and Sarah I. (wife of W. H. Blake).  Mrs. Paulina (Guyn) Black died
June 27, 1856, a member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Black and the surviving members of his family are now members of
the Presbyterian CHurch.  Mr. Black is a substantial farmer and is the
owner of 310 acres, on which he resides.

Believe his marriage to Louisa may be an error and children listed there should belong with his Rennick/or Paulina Guyn marriages.
