Thomas Jefferson Shields

Thomas Jefferson was born about 1842 in Monroe County, Indiana.  Thomas Jefferson's father was John Shields and his mother was Eliza Jane Blakely.  His paternal grandparents were William L., Sr. Shields and Nancy Elizabeth Nash; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Blakely and Elizabeth McFall. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Frank P., John F., Mary E., Rebecca M., Eliza J., Anna, Susannah, Elizabeth and Catherine "Katie".  He was the third oldest of the ten children.

‌Thomas Jefferson and Rebecca A. were married in a religious ceremony on October 15th, 1874 in Monroe County, Indiana.
