Rebecca M. Shields 
Rebecca M. was born on March 30th, 1839 in Monroe County, Indiana. Rebecca M.'s father was John Shields and her mother was Eliza Jane Blakely. Her paternal grandparents were William L., Sr. Shields and Nancy Elizabeth Nash; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Blakely and Elizabeth McFall. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Thomas Jefferson, Frank P., John F., Mary E., Eliza J., Anna, Susannah, Elizabeth and Catherine "Katie". She was the second oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 77 on December 16th, 1916 in Monroe County, Indiana. She was buried on December 18th, 1916 in Rosehill Cemetery, Bloomington, Monroe, Indiana.General Notes
In 1920, Rebecca was a resident of Perry Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana, at
the time of the Census living with her mother Eliza Shields.
Rebecca died 16 December 1916. Cause of death was listed as a cerebral
hemorrhage.
