Elizabeth Shields

Elizabeth was born on March 1st, 1850 in Indiana.  Elizabeth's father was John Shields and her mother was Eliza Jane Blakely.  Her paternal grandparents were William L., Sr. Shields and Nancy Elizabeth Nash; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Blakely and Elizabeth McFall. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Thomas Jefferson, Frank P., John F., Mary E., Rebecca M., Eliza J., Anna, Susannah and Catherine "Katie".  She was the third youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 6 on February 20th, 1857 in Monroe County, Indiana.  She was buried in Shield's Cemetery, Polk Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana.
