On 28 February 1843 at Monroe Co., Indiana, John Shields, a son and
executor of William Shields estate, was ordered picked up by the sheriff
and held until the May 1843 term of court for debt against William
Shields Sr. for $750.00 by the executors of the estate of John Rowen
dated 28 Feb. 1843.
In 1850, John and Eliza were residents of Perry Twp., Monroe Co.,
Indiana, at the time of the Census.
William Blakely swore that John Shields died 8 July 1856 at the time of
probate of John's estate.
