Jean Gathalea was born in 1925 in Charleston,Kanawha,West Virginia. Jean Gathalea's father was Fred Staunton Greybill Sr and her mother was Helen Gertrude Hicks. Her paternal grandparents were John William Greybill and Tressie Gertrude (Gertie) Dodd; her maternal grandparents were James D (Jim, JD) Hicks and Susan Elizabeth (Lizzie) Smith. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Fred Staunton, William Dryden, Thomas Glenn, Gerald Lee, Living, Living, Jacqueline Elgar and Nancy Carol. She died at the age of 63 on April 5th, 1988 in Charleston,Kanawha,West Virginia. She was buried in Spring Hill Cemetery,Charleston.General Notes

after a long illness.
She was a member of Humphreys Memorial United Methodist Church,
Charleston.
Surviving: husband, Donald L. Blake; son, Fred Randall of South
Charleston; daughter, Pamela Russell of Ripley; brothers, Gerald
Greybill of St. Albans, Fred Greybill Jr. of Oregon, Thomas Greybill.
of Chicago, John Greybill of Detroit, Phillip Greybill of New Jersey;
sisters, Nancy Mostellor of San Diego, Calif., Jackie of California;
four grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Good Shepherd Mortuary, South
Charleston, with the Rev. Harold Custer officiating. Burial will be
in Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American
Diabetes Association.
