Ida Mae, known as Ida Endora, was born in May 1850 in Virginia.1   Ida Endora's father was John L Martin and her mother was Lucinda Dooling.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Martin and Phobe. She had five brothers and three sisters, named William O, Dryden S, John A, Charles C, James, Julia, Mary A and Harriet.  She was the third youngest of the nine children.  She was buried on January 26th, 1934 in Spring Hill Cemetery.


Ida Endora's family with Thomas Dickinson Hix

‌Ida Endora and Thomas Dickinson were married in a religious ceremony on October 18th, 1873 in Kanawha Co,West Virginia.2   They had five sons and two daughters, named William A, Jim, JD, Thomas Kay, Henry M, Glenn R, Mary L and Maggie.
