Susan was born in Botetourt Co,Va. Susan's father was Joseph Compton and her mother was Elizabeth Alley. Her paternal grandparents were John COMPTON and Margaret (German Lady) Raemer; her maternal grandfather was Thomas Alley. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Henry, William, Randolph, Nancy, Mary and Margaret. She died after 1842.General Notes
