Glenn Frederick Thomas 
Glenn Frederick was born on January 5th, 1925 in Marengo, Iowa Co., IA. Glenn Frederick's father was William Garfield Thomas and his mother was Mary Winifred Simmons. His paternal grandparents were Abraham Thomas and Mary Evans; his maternal grandparents were William Heald Simmons and Josephine Pettit. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Robert Abraham, Melvin William, Clifford James, Roy George, Ralph Edward, Allen Joseph, Charles Franklin, Richard John, Marianne Harriet and Elizabeth Marie. He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 64 on February 8th, 1989 in Anaheim, CA.General Notes

Glenn was the ninth child of William G. and Winifred Simmons Thomas. He
graduated from Marengo High School in 1943 and served in WWII from June
1943 to March, 1946. After graduating from the University of Iowa in
Iowa City, he worked for Ford Motor Company in Chicago, IL, and for
Rockwell International in Anaheim, CA, from which he retired. While he
suffered from multiple sclerosis, his death was caused by pneumonia.
They had no children. He is buried at Los Angeles National Military
Cemetery.
