John Steer

John was born before 1785 and his baptism took place on June 21st, 1785 in Ford Chapel.¹   John's father was Henry Sture and his mother was Ann Torring.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Sture and Anne Whiteway. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Edmund, George, Henry, William, Edward, Philip, Anne, Mary and Sarah.  He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.
