Job was born on July 11th, 1797 in North Bradley and his baptism took place on October 1st, 1797 in Trowbridge.1  Job's father was Thomas Mitchell and his mother was Betty dJoshua Beaven.  His paternal grandparents were Charles Mitchel and Elizabeth; his maternal grandparents were Joshua Bevan and Ann Summers. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Daniel, Emanuel, Anna, Eleanor, Eliza and Eliza.  He was the oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named George, Joan, Mary, Jane and Ann.  He died at the age of 77 in 1874.  He was buried on April 4th, 1874 in Trowbridge Cemetery E/898.2

‌Job and Jane were married in a religious ceremony on November 20th, 1817 in North Bradley witnessed by Henry Pike, Jane Lucas.7  They had two sons and a daughter, named Alfred, George and Caroline.

‌Job and Eliza were married in a religious ceremony on November 17th, 1828 by J Hooper, Curate and witnessed by James Mason John Turner.8  They had five sons and three daughters, named Thomas, Nathaniel, Job, Mark, Luke, Hannah, Jane and Eliza.
