Betty was born in 1768 and her baptism took place on November 25th, 1770 in North Bradley. Betty's father was Joshua Bevan and her mother was Ann Summers.  Her maternal grandparents were William Summers and <Unknown>. She had three brothers and five sisters, named William, Job, Caleb, Ann, Jane, Mary, Hannah and Jemima.  She died at the age of 82 on October 5th, 1850 in Hilperton.  She was buried on October 11th, 1850 in Steeple Ashton.1 2

‌Betty and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on January 28th, 1799 in Steeple Ashton by Vicar Samuel Hey and witnessed by James Baggs   Robert Herring X. They had three sons and four daughters, named Job, Daniel, Emanuel, Anna, Eleanor, Eliza and Eliza.
