Peter Tong

Peter was born in 1846 in Darcy Lever.¹

Peter's father was Robert Tong and his mother was Nancy Mather. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Sarah Davenport. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Robert, William, Horatio, James, Sarah and Hannah. He was the third youngest of the eight children.
