George was born in 1812 in Wybunbury and his baptism took place on June 12th, 1812 in Nantwich.1  George's father was Thomas Timmis and his mother was Martha Woodcock.  His paternal grandparents were John Timmis and Mary Walley. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Thomas, William, Job, Elizabeth, Martha, Ellen and Sarah.  He was the third youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 64 in 1876 in Walgherton.2

‌George and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on May 1st, 1834 in Wybunbury.3   They had two biological sons and four biological daughters, named James, George, Eliza, Elizabeth, Ann and Sarah.  They also had an adopted son named George.  There are possibly more children.
