Martha's father was Thomas Timmis and her mother was Martha Woodcock.  Her paternal grandparents were John Timmis and Mary Walley. She had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Thomas, William, Job, George, Elizabeth, Ellen and Sarah.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 16 in March 1826 in Wybunbury.  She was buried on May 28th, 1826 in Wybunbury.²
